Cell Phone Flashing

Cell Phone Flashing is a process wherein a mobile cell phone's firmware (or program inside your phone's memory) is updated or re-programmed. Like computers, some mobile phones have some minor software glitches. Things like your phone restarting, hanging, no signal, etc, are signs that there are problems with your phone's firmware.

To resolve this issues, mobile phone manufacturers usually come up with software updates for mobile phones and the process wherein these updates are incorporated into your mobile phone is referred to as "flashing".

Cell phone flashing does not unlock your phone or remove operator restrictions. Unlocking your cell phone is a completely different process but some unlocking procedures usually involve flashing a phone's firmware so many people have the misconception that flashing your mobile phone will unlock it.

Important Notice About Activation After CDMA Flashing: You are responsible fully to check with service provider prior to flashing the phone to make sure they will activate your ESN or MEID number. Cell Techs will not be held responsible for your failure to make sure phone can be activated prior to CDMA flashing service. Some phones use MEID instead of ESN number and we can convert these numbers if needed.

Switch Your Service Provider & Keep Your Phone: We can unlock features, flash, and reprogram most CDMA cell phones including Sprint, Verizon, Alltel, Qwest, US Cellular, Metro PCS & Cricket! This will allow you to switch service providers and use the same phone! Your phone book, ring tones, and other settings in the phone will stay the same in most cases. Some software flashing will delete these items but we can back these items up and restore them in most cases. The only difference will be that it will work with your new carrier! Now you can keep your phone number and your cell phone!

Flashing cell phones for any CDMA network requires connection to computer in order to rewrite the file to enable it to connect to specified CDMA service provider. Some phones must also have the Service Provider Code or SPC changed to 000000 or unlocked before the file can be programmed to the phone. We will unlock the SPC on your phone and do the cell phone flashing so that you can use the same mobile phone you already have with your new service provider. Some phones can also be fully flashed to make them work with internet and other firmware controlled features. Not all carriers will accept flashed phones.

We will not change the ESN number on your phone. Changing ESN number is illegal, and WE DO NOT DO ANYTHING THAT IS NOT LEGAL.
