Laundry detergent and Chlorine (even the small amount of chlorine in our drinking water), are very damaging to phones. The need to get your phone to us is immediately increases depending on which fluids come in contact with your phone.
There are people out there that will tell you all you need to do is; "Take the battery out and put the phone in a bag of rice." This in fact will help the drying process. However if the phone is not recoverable you may loose all of this info. There are times that your phone will get wet, you will dry it out and everything will be working fine. The cost of cell phone water damage repair is:
- Flip phones & Bar phones start @ $35.00
- Slider phones & smart phones start @ $45.00
- iPhones start @ $60.00.
If the phone cannot be repaired except by replacing parts, different parts will be used to fix the problem and the water damage repair cost will become the price of the parts. ie. If the LCD needs to be replaced to make the phone work properly for a flip phone, and the cost of the LCD is $50.00, the total cost of the repair will be $50.00. The additional repair will not be done until there is approval from the customer.
If for some unfortunate reason the water damage repair does not work and the phone cannot be repaired be changing the bad parts there is a $15.00 fee for materials & Labor which will be waived if you donate your phone.
